Keith was born and raised in the west of Ireland. After earning his Bachelor(2003)  and Masters (2005) degrees in History and Archaeology from the National University of Ireland, Galway, he worked as a tour guide specialising in history and archaeology tours.

Moving to Munich in 2010 he began working as a freelance tour guide where he could pursue his passion for European history, with a special focus on military history including the two world wars, and Germany in the 19th and 20th Centuries.

In addition to working in Munich, Keith is a fully qualified tour guide for the Dachau Memorial site, with over 500 tours under his belt as of 2016.

He is also something of an expert on local lore and traditions – he can advise you on how and how not to drink your beer!

He has a passion for history that is evident through his years of work as tour guide, both in Ireland and Germany. Keith firmly believes that the past must be preserved and brought to life through engagement, so that it remains relevant for current and future generations.
